Terms of use
These terms apply to the Groccy app and groccy.com.au ("Groccy"). By using Groccy you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Groccy.
What Groccy is
Groccy is a free tool that helps you plan grocery shopping: lists, price comparisons, health information, budgets and reminders. Groccy is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Woolworths, Coles, ALDI, IGA or any other retailer. Store names and logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify the stores.
Prices are a guide
Prices come from retailers' public listings and from receipts shoppers scan, and each one shows how old it is. Prices, specials and stock change often and can differ between stores, so the price at the shelf or checkout is the one that applies. Comparisons, totals, savings and "cheapest store" results are estimates to help you decide; they aren't offers or guarantees.
Health information is general
Health scores and nutrition details are general information based on product data (mainly Open Food Facts) and may be incomplete or out of date. They are not medical or dietary advice. Always check the product label, especially for allergies, and talk to a health professional about your own needs.
Using Groccy fairly
- Don't misuse Groccy: no attempts to break, overload or copy the service or its data in bulk.
- Only share a live list code with people you trust; anyone with the code can see and edit that list.
- When you scan a receipt or nutrition panel, Groccy may use the prices or nutrition values (not the photo) to help other shoppers.
Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. To the extent the law allows, Groccy is provided "as is", and we aren't liable for losses from relying on prices, availability, comparisons or health information, or from the service being unavailable.
Changes
We may update Groccy and these terms. We'll change the date above when we do; continuing to use Groccy means you accept the updated terms.
